Is it possible to sell a dual boot laptop (XP-Vista) with out breaking any laws?
My laptop came with vista home premium and i dual booted it with XP. I was hoping that I can some how deactivate my XP license and leave the dual boot configuration on my HP dv6500t to hopefully make it sell better. Is this possible?
Easy. All you should have to do is wipe the drive. They will have to get their own license to take care of that. You could of course leave it and when you re-use the license on your own computer you can let MS know. Even when you do this, there is no guarantees. In our business I would either sell the computer with the license included, or sell it as a dual boot capable system instead if they do not want to pay for the license.
